If you’ve been to the office lately, you’ve likely already met Dr. Tanner, but we wanted to take this opportunity to ask him some questions so you can get to know him better!
Why did you go to school to become a chiropractor? I went to Chiro school to better advance my knowledge of the human body and how I can support it through all life events — from kids in sports, to the elderly, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Why did you want to work at Restore? I wanted to work at Restore based on their approach of treating the human body through the nervous system. I also love to see the affect they have on whole families and raising healthy kids to become healthier adults. Their testimonials are amazing to read as they show that chiropractic helps with so much more than back pain.
Education and professional background: I graduated from South Dakota State University with my Pre-Professional Degree and Bachelors in Human Biology. I then attended Northwestern Health Sciences University for my Doctor of Chiropractic alongside Dr. McKensie. After graduating I worked for 3 years at another chiropractic clinic in the southwest metro.
What are you passionate about? I am very passionate about being active and sports. I’m an avid Packers/football fan… I know it’s off living in the “purple state” now, but I was born and raised in Wisconsin.🙃 I also love hockey and golf. I played hockey for 15 years while growing up and enjoy golfing in the summer. When it comes to chiropractic, I love hearing patient’s stories about how they were unable to function and workout before care and how they’re now able to enjoy activities they had not been able to for years.
How has chiropractic helped you? I started seeing a chiropractor for low back pain that was brought on from the numerous sports I played growing up. Consistent chiropractic care reduce my back pain and helped me recover faster, which allowed me to compete at a high level and not miss any time away from the sports I loved.
Tell us about your family: I’m originally from Wisconsin where the majority of my family lives. My wife, Whitney, and I got married during the pandemic in 2020 and will be celebrating our 3 year anniversary this summer. We recently bought a house and enjoy traveling and attending as many Wild games as possible.
Any other fun facts? I’ve been an avid runner since middle school and plan to train for my first marathon this year. I’ve run a few half marathons, but want to culminate that by running a full marathon.
